Starting on May 19th and running for six months, SFMOMA is proud and excited to display a selection of work from René Magritte, one of the most intriguing painters associated with Surrealism. This exhibition examines his most important bodies of work from the 1940s through the 1960s, and shows how there was a fundamental shift in painting from Modernism to our time.

A Live Tour With Clémence Rousseau
Friday nights at 8:00PM throughout the exhibition, French art critic and Magritte expert Clémence Rousseau will be examining the featured pieces, providing deep insights into Magritte's genius and his beautiful artwork. Register early, as space is limited.
